Daniel A. LaPlaca is a partner in the law firm of Knight, Manzi, Nussbaum & LaPlaca, P.A. located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. His practice focuses primarily in the areas of real estate development, corporate law and administrative law. He has served as the Chairman for the Salvation Army Advisory Council in Prince George's County and Chairman of the Prince George's County Workforce Services Corporation. He also participates as an active member of several volunteer boards in Prince George's County, including The Prince George's County Board of Trade, the Prince George's County Chapter of the National Conference, the American Heart Association, and the United Way. He has served on the Board of the Prince George's County Supplemental Higher Education Authority, and Queen Anne High School, and he is an alumnus of Leadership Washington. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1981 with a B.S. in Commerce. He obtained his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1984. He and his wife, Pearl, keep busy raising their four children.
